Notification of potential coronavirus exposure at Kallahti Youth Centre

A person present at Kallahti Youth Centre on Fri 30 October 2020 was later tested positive for coronavirus. The exposure took place 18:00–20:45.

Those exposed in close contact will be contacted by phone by the infectious disease authorities with the purpose of ordering a quarantine. Others present at the Youth Centre may have been exposed to the coronavirus. Therefore, they are urged to monitor their health closely for ten days until 9 November 2020. They must also get tested immediately if they develop any symptoms, however mild they may be, and wait for the result at home. They should avoid close contact with elderly people and those at risk until they have received a negative test result and no longer exhibit symptoms.

The symptoms of a coronavirus infection include intermittently elevated body temperature, fever, coughing, headache, muscle ache, a sore throat, a runny or stuffy nose, shortness of breath, loss of the sense of smell and taste, nausea, diarrhoea and abnormal fatigue.

Residents of Helsinki and guardians of children residing in Helsinki can book an appointment for a coronavirus test by calling the Coronavirus Helpline, tel. 09 310 10024 (daily at 8–18). If the Coronavirus Helpline is closed and the symptoms indicative of a coronavirus infection are mild, please wait until the following day.

Residents of other municipalities must contact their local health care services for testing. Residents of other Uusimaa municipalities can fill out the symptom assessment form and book an appointment online at https://koronabotti.hus.fi/en/.
